I recently took my Dodge into Thomas Dodge for service, as it was not running correctly. The warranty had long expired, so I was going to have to pay for the repairs. I told the service writer I did not need the spark plugs changed, as I had just changed them before i took the car to them.

I also told him to change the oil, as a sign above the counter said oil change, $19.95 and in fine print "plus material charge" I left the car and the service writer said he would call after they looked at the car.

The service writer called me and told me the car needed 5 things done to it, three of which had NOTHING to do with the problem the car was experiencing. He even told me my car had the wrong spark plugs in it.

When I questioned him about it, and told him that those plugs were sold to me for that car, he said "the plugs you have are AC, we dont use AC, we use Champion plugs. In other words , he was trying to get me to agree to let him remove my brand new plugs just because they weren't the brand they use.

I told him to do two of the five things he wanted to do, plus the oil change. When I went to pick the car up, the bill was for over $400, which seems way too much for changing an O2 sensor, and throttle body cleaning. And....the $19.95 oil change was $19.95 plus $6 for materials, which is $25.95.

I will never go back to Thomas
