My father has been getting messages left at his house, my old residence about a debt that I am in from a reputable credit card company, who I am surprised hired this company. I told my parents to have them call me at my number here where I live with my husband.

One rep I called and left a message on Thursday to call me at my new number and to stop calling my parents- never returned my phone call- finally my father got a woman's name and we called her this past Saturday- left her a message to call me back to straighten this out.

We finally spoke today for the first time. She told me I owed about $5,000.00 and if I can get $1600.00 TODAY I will have a balance of $3700.00 and the company would settle with me. I called her back and left her a message- would that mean after the 1600.00 I would owe 2100.00- please let me know.

She left me a message {phone tag all day} that I needed to call her to discuss that. Left her a message saying I would have the 1600.00 by Friday the latest, it was unacceptable to the client according to her. My husband spoke to her briefly asking if what she said was true- that it was unacceptable that I couldn't pay by friday, the 1600.00- where can you find 1600.00 in 6 hours if you are in debt and if you were laid off???
