Baskin Robbins Ice Cream, Garland, TX - found hair in ice cream

Hair in my Baskin Robbins Ice Cream

I went to the Baskin Robbins on Beltline Rd in Garland, Texas and bought 2 scoops of Lemon Custard and had eaten a few bites of it and looked down and there was a short, straight, black hair. Okay, I can deal with one hair, so I ate another bite and looked down at the ice cream again and there was another one.

I really love that Lemon Custard so I poked around in it for awhile and i'll be danged if I didn't find 2 more hairs in it. At this point I just stopped looking and put it in the freezer intending to take it back.

A day or two later, I did go back to that store ( full of kids and parents having a birthday party, I might add), the manager wasn't there so I presented it to the high school guy working and quietly told him the problem, he took the ice cream and actually asked me what other flavor I wanted. Well, I told him I didn't want any ice cream, I wanted my money back.

He takes the ice cream to the back and talks it over with somebody and out comes another young guy. He looks at me and starts smirking, opens the cash register and starts counting out my $3.12......in dimes and nickels. At this point I am standing there amazed that (1) I went in trying to be quiet and not let all those customers know what was in my ice cream and probably theirs too, and (2) no one said I'm sorry, kiss my....or anything and (3) I'm getting $3.12 back in dimes and nickels.

The next day I called the corporate office and filed a complaint about the hair and the customer service. That was 2 weeks ago and I have yet to get a response from the store. I will not patronize Baskin Robbins again, not so much because of the hair, but because of the way I was treated and the disregard the company has for its customers.
