Sears Credit Account - paid off account that still appears as collection item on credit report

SEARS Credit Account

I paid Sears acct# 36132ss with a Disbursement check#28616. The disbursement was a part of a refinance worked by law firm Cushing & Dolan P.C. The check was dated 11 October 2000 and was sent to SEARS that same day. My former account with SEARS still shows up on my credit report as a writeoff. Please help me resolve this issue and clear my credit report. I have the check stub for the above check number if needed.
