American Express Card lack customer service

 

American Express Credit Card: My company insists that we use the American Express card for all travel. My experiences with them over the years have caused me cancel my personal card. I had a card stolen; they did not cancel it, told me I never called. Luckily I had my manager was on the first call and he told them no they did not do there job. They than refused to issue me a new card as I had not paid the bill and called my Manager and told him that I had told them I was quitting the company and not to issue a card. This is when I canceled my personal card. The next problem is now in the 60 day category, A collogue and I mixed up our cards, I called with both credit card numbers and asked them to move his charges to his card and my charges to my card. Well they can not do that you must wait with no credit issued (the first rep I called) until the fraud division looks in to it.

 

The second rep did issue a credit for one charge but is unable to issue a credit for the 2nd as the bill has not come out yet sets a and unless I receive a paper copy of the bill they can do nothing. No one at the customer service, which has no supervisors ever on site, is able to understand the problem.

 

I do know that I will never have an American Express card why would I deal with company that makes sure the customer service is unable to communicate in English,and has no skill in resolving issues. Ginny R
