I received a White 750 Sewing machine last April for my birthday. (purchased March 3)I used it very little. After about 10 hours of use it has started sewing even when the foot pedal is not pressed.

I contacted the customer service by e-mail and was told I would have to pay to have it serviced because the warranty has expired 2 days prior. I telephoned the customer service center and was told there was nothing they could do. I believe I received a lemon, since White has a good reputation for sewing machine quality.

Their customer service was not helpful at all. It was 2 days out of warranty and I had used it very little. I will not purchase another machine from them. A company should stand behind it's product!.

I tried to have it repaired locally and was told they knew what was wrong, but they could not get the parts because only " authorized" repair centers can get parts. It will have to be shipped to Ohio to be repaired and the cost could be nearly as much as the cost of the machine.
