Dunkin Donuts
Recently, Dunkin Donuts change the lid on medium coffee cups. The change has created two safety concerns that are present in the new lid type compared to the old.
One, the new lid, although attached as the old, creates a potential spill factor. A persons mouth, while drinking from the medium cup, was in touch with the cup as well as the lid. The new version, a persons mouth does not come in contact with the cup.
The staff at Dunkin Donuts, does not guarantee the lid is 100% secure to the cup. In the older version of the lid, the consumer, assuming the lid was not fully attached, had a better chance of not spilling the coffee. Secondly, in order to fully finish the cup of coffee, the consumer nearly needs to tilt the cup upside-down to empty the cup. The old lid version, the consumer had no where near the tilt to finish the coffee. While driving, finishing a cup of Dunkin Donut medium coffee, the consumer, because of the tilt nearly upside-down, looses site of the road for a split second. I have changed to the small cup of Dunkin Donut coffee as a result of the change to the lid on the medium drinks. The lid for the smaller version is similar to the old medium version and appears to be safer for the two reasons stated above. John Bogus B, John
