My son's rio riot has quit working and so I began to troubleshoot the problem. It will play just fine if the battery

is charged but will not play connected to the AC wall adapter, and will not charge the battery. I called rio tech

support and was disconnected while I waited for the very very slow response.

I called again and again I had to wait a very long time for the tech to get my information and then decide whether he wanted to talk or not. It seems that once a product from rio goes out of warranty there is no way to get it repaired without paying $150 for a refurbished unit.

All I wanted to do was either get a schematic so I could finish fixing the player myself or at least buy replacement components. Rio does not stand by their products very well.

Most companies usually have replacement parts even after it has been discontinued. I would strongly recommend anyone from purchasing products from this company.

There tech support people are extremely slow and product support is awful. Robert
