COMPAQ FP 7317 17 inch LCD Flat Monitor

We just purchased the Presario Desktop with FP7317 17” LCD Flat Monitor. I had this installed by a Computer savvy because I didn’t want any problems.

The screen has an orange pin spot on the bottom of the screen along with several marks, what looks to me like something was dragged across the screen like a thumb nail or some thing. Could you please correct this problem? I would appreciate this very much .Thank you Kenneth A
