Stainsoft seem to be making the complaints line a lot, and would like to add to this list I really would recommend people do not entertain using them or signing up for one of their warranties. We purchased a new sofa set in Raleigh, NC in 2002, with a stainsoft warranty added to this. We had a problem with the sofa starting to pull apart at the seams in June of 2003. We placed a call on the sofa for this

seam, which someone came over to the house to fix.

In december, we had another issue with the sofa, on another seam. Again we called stainsoft, but this time no one came over. We then waited, and then fixed it ourselves as it was a minor sean to fix. In march of this year, we had a third seam tear, including the material separating on this seam. We called Stainsoft who this time denied our warranty, as this sofa had too many seams tearing on it. After calling them, they indicated that as the seam tore under normal use, it would not be covered.

Their policy does not state this. They then indicated that as the seams started breaking in 2003, that the period for repair was too long, even though this was in fact three separate pillows.

Seems they only cover one pillow ever breaking. After I asked trhem to send me a letter in which they stated that this is denied.

They refused to send this denial letter. I called them back repeatedly, but still did not get them to agree to fix the pillow, each time stating another reason for denying the claim, all linked to the first damage claim in 2003. They failed to understand that the sofa has nine separate pillows, and these three claims were for three separate pillows of the nine.

Basically they were looking for any reason not to fix it. They again stated the sofa would not be covered from normal wear and tear of seams pulling apart. Regards, Guy
