Erie Insurance - home owners insurance - going to be cancelled after 16 years - adjuster put in one claim as 4 separate claims

I have just been advised that I am going to be cancelled by Erie Insurance after 16 years due to what I thought was one claim, but the adjuster put in as 4 seperate claims.

We live in a rural area in open farmland and had high wind damage on our siding and roof. I called when a small amount of siding in July came off and was told by my agent that my rates could go up.

At that time my husband fixed siding on his own for less that the deductable. Later in the fall we had alot of siding come down and quite a bit of shingles from roof, at which time we got estimates to repair and replace and I sent them to ERIE and before I was contacted or it was repaired we have had a few pieces come off now and then in the wind.

When the adjuster came out I said it probally came off 3 or 4 times.She then informed me it would now be 4x my deductable and that if I got a letter about cancellation I should not contact her about it. Well I thought there is no way we would be cancelled because we had only had 1 claim prior to this , It was due to lightning striking house and taking out our electrical outlets on one wall and also phones.

They gave us 1300.00 in 2000 for this and then 1 claim in 1995 for theft of our vehicle which I thought was on our auto not homeowners policy. Do we as homeowners have any recourse. We have to have insurance with our mortgage. I suggest everyone read the policy....... I may not have been so honest....
