CyberPower Inc. In California
On March 04, 2004, Cyber Power or Cyberpower Inc had received the defective computer I had purchased less than a month earlier. Originally, I had requested a replacement in which Lap had approved. However, he indicated that the turn around time for the replacement would be lengthy; for which it had. Due to the delay in the replacement and the criticality of my business, I was forced to purchase a retail machine at the local CompUSA. Immediately, I contacted Lap and he expressed understanding and agreed to a full return of my purchase price.
Unfortunately, this experience has been an exercise in folly. I have attempted to decipher the status of my return and ultimately, the credit of my purchase price to no avail. Again, the numerous telephone calls to Cyber Power or Mr. Lap have yielded no answers. I was stunned when they were unable to confirm the receipt of my return. However, I had confirmed that they had received it by contacting (tracking number) my carrier FedEx.
February 10, 2004, I had again attempted to contact Cyber Power to inquire about the status of my credit and had the experience of having the receptionist refuse to transfer me to Mr. Lap. This resulted in my being on hold for thirty minutes and no closer to resolution.
Currently, I am very perplexed as to the short circuit with this organization. I have been more than tolerant with their level of incompetence and I have no recourse but to issue Cyber Power or Cyberpower Inc. an ultimatum. I will be contacting them this afternoon with a clear and direct order to return the full purchase price to my credit card no later than March 12, 2004, 5:00PM PST or I will contact the appropriate Better Business Bureau location and State Attorney Generals Office for redress. As well, I will be contacting my credit card issuer.
I have invested in a dozen telephone calls, multiple emails, and countless hours with this issue and ultimately paid $1,400.00 for a computer that I do not even own. No less, back in the hands of the manufacturer who is virtually clueless as to the status of my return. What adds insult to injury is the fact that Cyber Power or Mr. Lap has in no way attempted to rectify this issue. This has taken efforts only on my part with little or no effort whatsoever by Cyber Power.
I will update this post, as surely, the developments will change
