my printer ( hp colour laser jet 4500 ) is about 5 years old. paid cdn $5400.00 for it. the error message is "re-install transfer belt". the authorized service centre says they contact hp and get very very long hold

times to speak to someone and have told them all sorts of possibilities as to what could be wrong with it but nothing seems to work.

all sorts of sensors and a new transfer belt and a new tranfer belt kit and a circuit board and now they want to put in a new transfer belt drawer assembly for over $800.00. the technician told me these are not good printers and that i would be wasting my money as this new part would be under repair warranty for 90 days.

when i called hp they wouldn't speak to me unless i gave them a credit card number 1st so they could bill me. well, i've ordered a new printer, obviously not by hp. shame on hp! if i'd ordered one by hp, shame
