I was very interested to read that someone else is having trouble with alltel. I have been in contact with them numerous times over the last two months about my bill. I have been with alltel for years and have never gone over my minutes , I got a bill that says I used 2600 minutes in one month.
My normal usage was around 1000 minutes. I can't believe that this is right but I can't even get anyone to check into it for me. There customer service department is very difficult to deal with.
I have cancelled both my phones and even though I have been with them for over two years I was charged the $200.00 cancellation fee. I believe Alltel is over billing many people and would like to know what I could do about it

I have heard many others too. For that reason and others I haven't done business with them or the other providers. Instead I bought my minutes as needed from Trac phone. That too is expensive. I just purchased the MagicJack for $46.00 for the first year of service, and $20.00 for each additional year. Works great.
