Sears dryer - The dryer rubs the drum when it turns if any clothing is set on the top of the dryer

Purchased a top of the line dryer from Sears in Arrowhead mall on Bell & 101 Frwy. The dryer rubs the drum when it turns if any clothing is set on the top of the dryer.

The repair person who they sent out said the dryer must have had something heavy and that is the reason it rubs. I have had Kenmore washer and dryers for over 30 years now and have been very happy with them up until this new one. I have climbed on top or sat on dryers before.

These new ones are very poorly built if they have this problem. When I called the 1-800 service number the lady said that this is a common problem and that there is nothing they will do about it. If it's a common problem why not change the way they are manufacturing the new dryers so they will stand up to normal use?
