National Tracker Association - On approximately May 23, 2004. I called a company advertising that I could help the government track people who had refunds and be paid for doing so

On approximately May 23, 2004. I called a company advertising that I could help the government track people who had refunds and be paid for doing so. The company name I was given is National Tracker Association. I was asked to verify their validity at the State of Utah to show it is a valid company.

They did show as being valid on the website they directed me to, The Utah Division of Commerce website www.commerce.utah.gov .

They then told me where to go to find their company. I found two listing and one was inactive, in Salt Lake, if I remember correctly, and the other in Toole, showing valid and active. I then gave a over the phone check in the amount of 129.00 to start doing this.

I have began to have doubts about this and looked farther into the company on the Internet and found a complaint on your website stating that this company is known to deceive people and it is a scam for getting money from people. Please, if you have any information, let me know about what I can do to get a refund on this issue. I appreciate any help you can give me.
