I bought this Maytag washer one year ago and it started leaking a month ago. I contacted the repairman and I was informed the tub seal had gone bad. The repairman told me he had seen almost a 100% failure of the tub seal on these washers.

He said the replacement seal was the same one that had gone bad and the replacement seal would not last but a year or two until the same problem would start again. I bought a Maytag washer for the so called reliability of the machine and now I know I have a hugh LEMON on my hands.

If you have the same problem let me know. This problem has caused the business where I bought my machine to stop selling Maytags. We must make them pay for the design flaw and give us a machine that will last at least 10 years.
