Secondary Complaint Classification: Refund Practices Complaint: I signed up with this company to sell my timeshare. Their sales representative had promised me that they would sell the timeshare in less than 3 months. It's been over a year now and they haven't done anything they promised to do to sell it and now that I asked for a refund of funds they are telling me no. I have recently sold the timeshare on my own and no longer require their services. When I signed up with them they told me if I did so they would refund my money and now when I asked for a refund they said no, that they will not refund my money. Deborah H

this is crap, i signed up with timeshares by owner almost a year ago promised that it was going to be rented for 4000 to 5000 per week and that we would receive follow up calls which never happened, I call and then they tell me that the sales rep who helped me and my husband is out sick. that is not my problem it is complany duty to follow up. and the state that no refund that we had 7 days which we never agreed to and none of the papers that we were emailed states this. I'm going to do whatever it takes to get my money back and i have a lawyer working on this, so be ready for your lawsuit!

I sell timeshare with Wyndham and I just had an owner call me about your company promising to pay her $3200.00- $4500.00 per week guarenteed, no commission, no fee's due by owner for renting her weeks thru you. That was the 2nds lie, The first one was when your employee Willian Arnold said he was a Wyndham representative, and he had the clients willing to pay this $$$, then after she received the check she was to call back and then you would get paid from the renter. The whole conversation was total lies!!! I have recorded it and am contacting not only Wyndham, but RCI as well as Better Buisness Bureau, You are lying thieves! Shame on you! You should be closed down immediatly!!!

I have also had lest than stellar dealing with Timeshares By Owner as well. We were prommised a rental with in 2-3 months after we paid a "listing fee". 14 months later NADA. several calls, none returned. I am attempting to settel with them, and was told as well NO REFUND. Pondering leagal action. If enough people out there maybe a class action.

You need to stop with the canned response. this is not what you promised. You promise a sale within a certain time frame and you make none. Your sales tactic is to promise the sale past your so called time to cancel . and take the money and run. if you approach people with the truth those who just want to list their property will list it. No on is complaining that a newspaper posting did make a sale, so why would we? its because you promise a sale. You come to people with "wow we got so much going on we can't even fill all sales request" That is fraudulent.

As promised, your timeshare has been actively advertised on our website and walk-in offices. We advertise in USA Today as well as major city newspapers, billboards, radio, TV (Weather Channel, A&E, Travel Channel, ESPN) direct mail marketing, and other forms of media. We are the only timeshare resale's advertising firm with our own magazine, the Timeshare Trader! In reference to the refund we do have a refund policy in accordance with the Consumers Right of Cancellation. Our refund policy is as follows: "you are entitled to a refund if you provide Timeshares By Owner with notice of cancellation of your advertisement within ten days from the postmark on the envelope of your Welcome Package". We take each client through a verification process that allows us to monitor what the client knows about our program as well as go over the whole program with them! All verifications are recorded for the protection of the client as well as Timeshares by Owner!

I am very sorry that your experience with Timeshares By Owner did not render you the instant results that you wanted however, that is not how our company works we do not make promises or give time frames that your property will sell! You went through a verification that stated just that and you agreed to it!
