We ordered a new entry door from Lowe's in Buford, GA on April 11th, 2004. We were originally told it would take two weeks. After two weeks we were told it would take another month because our door included an elipse-shaped transom that had to be custom made.

Since then it has been one excuse and delay after another. At one point we were told the glass was coming from China and that's why it took so long. After expressing strong concerns about what happens if it gets broken in transit or installation, it now seems the glass is conveniently now being made it Canada. (Are these two neighbors?) Now the supposed ship date from the door manufactuer to the store is July 5th.

I am going to speak with the store manager today. I am ready to cancel the oder, but my wife feels that we've waited this long, a couple of more weeks won't matter.

I feel like I have been lied to time and time again. Even after getting calls with supposed ship dates, when I called back to confirm delivery, I was asked where I got that date.

Fortunately we put this purchase on a credit card and have disputed it.
