Subj: Complaint filed w/DBPR re: Suncoast Roofing Juan Gordillo with Suncoast Roofing (CCC058078) was paid 2 replace our roof on 9/17/1997. He did not do the work himself. A long-haired guy who played loud head-banger music when he put on the roof actually installed the roof. All three layers of shingle roofing were removed, as well as ALL of the wood. New shingles from Home Depot were used 2 shingle the roof. The roof looked fine; however, it has leaked ever since the roof was replaced. COMPLAINT #1: I attempted on numerous occasions 2 have his assistant send a copy of the warranty for the shingles 2 me. She would promise she would send it on the telephone; however, she never did. She said Juan was going through a divorce. COMPLAINT #2: He never returned calls and never showed 4 scheduled appointments 2 view the leaking problems. 8/27/03: Juan never showed 4 the 3:30 appt.

8/27/03: I called--left message asking him 2 come on Friday P.M., or Sat. I said I would file a complaint w/BBB and the owner of Suncoast Realty (who referred Suncoast Roofing 2 me). He never called and never showed.

8/28/03: I left another message.

Remainder of 2003 and first part of 2004: I attempted 2 locate Juan--2 no avail.

6/28/04: The number in the telephone book (813-874-5613) has been changed (813-839-2301). The man who answers says that it is not Juan, nor Suncoast. Please make sure this man NEVER can con anyone again. Thank you!
