Cingular/wireless cell phone

 

 

My complaint is against Cingular wireless. My husband and I switched to Cingular 4 months ago after each of us was with another company for 4 years. We had recently gotten married and wanted to share our minutes and free mobile to mobile. Our second bill we received from Cingular went way over our monthly plan. We asked for an airtime billing statement which is a statement showing each phone call and each minute used. We were being charged for 708 minutes when we only used 671 according to the airtime billing statement. We called several times trying to find some sort of solution.

 

When we received the newer bill, we noticed they charged us for 298 when the minutes only added up to 293. I called customer service and spoke to a supervisor. He said he would get back to me in a couple of days. I explained that I had been up and down this road for the last 5 weeks and I needed help today. He put me on hold to go over my bill and hand count the minutes. Either I was hung up on by the supervisor or my phone dropped the call, which happens often. We are so unhappy with cingular but we signed a 2 year contract with them. We do not feel we should have to abide by this contract since they are over charging us twice. They say there is nothing they can do for us. I am appalled with the statement since the error is in black and white. I am not going to file with the BBB.
