FLAMINGO PARK HOLIDAY VILLAGE, NORTH YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND PLEASE FIND ENCLOSED A COPY OF A LETTER I HAVE SENT TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT 10 TIMES OVER THE LAST 10 WEEKS. THEY HAVE IGNORED EACH LETTER AND EMAIL I HAVE SENT THEM. I AM VERY ANNOYED. 46 Rose Avenue, Fence Houses, Tyne and Wear. DH4 6JA

ENGLAND Dear sir/madam, I am writing to complain about the attitude of your staff at Flamingo park and the inability to allow me on your site because of a new rule apparently you have just instituted. I have visited your park for many years with a touring caravan and have been on your mailing list for many years as I used to run a toddler group and we had day trips organised to visit Flamingo park in the past. However, because of the treatment we received at Easter and the failure to speak to someone in authority I will never visit your park again. I work in a hospital and my husband works in local governement and we have emailed everyone on our distribution lists to avoid Flamingo Park. I have also put my complaint on numerous web sites for everyone to see. It was disgusting that we were turned away when we rang up to book and were told just to arrive. The reason was that Hobby caravans were no long allowed on the site. This naturally ruined our Bank Holiday weekend and we had to return home, 100 miles, because we did not have our of our caravan park books with us to try and obtain alternative pitches elsewhere for the duration of the weekend.. I did ask why no one asked us on the telephone what kind of caravan we had and why no other information was obtained or given when we were asked to book a pitch. We have just changed our caravan from a Elddis to a Hobby and I know for a fact that Hobby caravans were allowed on the site last year as a friend of ours with one was on site with theirs.

I did enquire why this was not put on the touring leaflet I had received in the mail and was told it was just instituted. I believe this is unjustified and that your staff are not very efficient and get great delight in upsetting people. On leaving the site we spoke to someone else parked in a nearby layby and they had travelled over 200 miles and were refused on the site for another reason. They had also rang up to make a booking like us but were told just to arrive and a booking was not needed. I therefore will never visit Flamingo land again and am warning fellow campers of your policy, which does not seem to consistent with any general ruling. I want my name took off your mailing list immediately and I would be grateful if you could clarify why you had no mention in your literature that Hobby caravans were not allowed on site or of your new policy which consists of making the rules up as you go along. I would be interested to hear of your comments on the above so that I can post them on the various web sites I have contacted. Yours truly, T SCOTT Click this link to e-mail the above consumer: //
