Viking appliances are over priced and overrated! After spending a wad on these, they have broken, shut down, froze stuff, thawed stuff! No service from Viking either. After hundreds of phone mails and emails and letters to the owner with no response, my suggestion is to look at Sub Z's, Wolfe or stay with less expensive stuff. So if it does break someone will call you back and repair it in a timely fashion! I even called a lawyer and there is nothing he can do for crap merchandise and service!

My refer froze up at Thanksgiving. I had a turkey day, Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, a Birthday pass and they finally fixed it in April (not sure for how long)! I had all my stuff in the garage refer that I paid $0.00 for 20 years ago and its still running strong!

When I called Viking and told the lady that Viking should pay for all of my frozen meat, etc that thawed and I had to trash (A 2ND TIME) she told me it was my responsibility to take the stuff out ahead of time. I asked her to provide me with a crystal ball so next time I would know when it was going to freeze up and thaw all of the freezer items.
