Iberia has charged us twice calling it a system error in 6 months for airlines tickets. The first time was in November of 2003. We had purchased the plane tickets to go to Spain. Our surprised and disbelief happened when they charged us again for the tickets. Thanks to our bank, we were able to get our money back. In the way back from Spain, we lost the plane because the first fly was late. They said that they could not do anything about it and that the only way to get a plane was to buy another ticket. You can imagine...coming back from Christmas, the only seats were business, so we had to pay more than $5000, on top of the roundtrip that we had purchased, for my wife, our 9 MONTH OLD baby and myself. Iberia does not care if you get stranded and is not your fault.

 

We did with our baby and still did not have a bit of help from them. Anyways, that is not the end of the story. Last month of May, we purchased tickets to visit family in Spain, A MONTH LATER THEY CHARGED US TWICE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Their excuse...."system error". My wife and I have been calling them in Miami, they transfer the phone call to diferent offices. They said that they have refunded the money. Several days have passed and we still do not have the money in our account. This time, our bank were not able to help us because they did it twice..in November.

 

I do not blame them at all. Who would think that a professional company would do something like that TWICE in 6 months. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General in Florida and several newspapers, tv and radio stations as well as the Consumer Advocate. This is the only way for this people to screw with people's lifes. This time, a simple letter of apology will not be enough, neither the first or the second time have offered anything for their mistake. We haven't got a letter of apology for the first time from taking our money from us. Iberia Airlines are inept, they have a horrible customer service.
