www.sears.com Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with your store. On May 31, 2004, at approximately 4pm, I went to your Troy, MI store to purchase a refrigerator, stove, and over-the-stove microwave. Now, I realize that it was Memorial Day, however it took over 20 minutes before an associate even acknowledged my presence.

A salesperson from the stove area, Lee, finally greeted me. I explained to him what I needed. I told him the stove I wanted, he pointed out a few details for me, but told me that I needed to purchase the refrigerator from a separate salesperson. So, after waiting another 15 minutes for help in the refrigerator department, a salesperson finally helped me with my selection.

I again explained to him what I wanted and he very nicely walked with me to Lee to coordinate the transaction. Up to this point, I had no idea that these appliances were considered two separate departments. Having only brought one check for my purchase, I was told that I could NOT write one check for the entire purchase. Lee (the stove salesman) told me that because they work on commission, that this was just not possible.

He then proceeded to try to put my purchase on a Sears credit (I did not get approved). He told me that I needed to go home and get another check so he could process the order. Needless to say, I did not return. The last time I checked the commission on zero is still ZERO! I was fully prepared to purchase almost $1000 worth of merchandise from your company and because your salesperson was more concerned with his commission than my satisfaction, everyone is left with nothing.

I do feel sorry for the nice salesman who tried to sell the refrigerator (I cannot remember his name). He was actually willing to split his sale so that I could make the purchase. Perhaps Lee could take a lesson or two from him. Thank you for your time. Mrs. L. N
