Spawn Action Figures
Business: Toyglobe.com
Location: ToyGlobe.com (website) P.O. Box 1415, Champlain New York, USA 12919 Detailed complaint: 5/9/04 Placed an order for eight action figures from the Toyglobe.com website. Total for order, plus shipping and insurance, was $216.65. I used a VISA card for this order. The website indicated all items were in stock and would be processed and delivered within 13 business days maximum. There is no phone number contact information on the Toyglobe.com website. Anticipated delivery was 5/26/04. 5/10/04 My card was charged for the full amount by Toyglobe.com. 5/18/04 I emailed Toyglobe requesting order status. No response from Toyglobe. 5/19/04 I emailed Toyglobe a second time requesting order status. No response from Toyglobe. 5/23/04 I emailed Toyglobe a third time requesting order status. 5/25/04 Toyglobe responds via email that they will look into this. 5/26/04 No response from Toyglobe. I email a fourth time requesting order status. 5/27/04 Toyglobe responds via email that a few of the figures are currently backordered, but they will ship as soon as they receive them. I reply with the following email: Thanks XXXXX, I appreciate the information. I was very pleased to find your website. It appeared you have a lot of hard to find figures in stock. As such, I did not mind spending a little more money for the convenience of getting them from one place, Toyglobe. However, lack of communication regarding this order has me concerned. Your website indicated all items were in stock. Response to my emails has been intermittent and slow. As a result, I would like to proceed with one of the following options: A. Send what you have in stock, adjust the shipping cost, and bill my card only for the in stock items and adjusted shipping cost. Cancel the remainder of the order. B. Send what you have in stock, adjust the shipping cost, and bill my card only for the in stock items and adjusted shipping cost. Provide more detailed information on the back ordered figures (i.e., when I should expect to receive them) allowing me the opportunity to keep them on order or cancel them. If kept on order, they can be sent when you receive them and my card can be billed for the remainder of the $32.05 shipping and insurance cost. In other words, despite you sending two shipments, I will not incur any additional shipping or insurance costs and the total is to remain $216.65. C. Cancel this order in it's entirety. If I receive no response by tomorrow, I will assume option C was chosen. Future purchases by me from Toyglobe will depend on how this issue is handled from this point on. Thank you. 5/28/04 No response from Toyglobe. I contact my bank to reverse the charges. 6/1/04 Still no response from Toyglobe. My bank called to confirm they are reversing the charges due to non-delivery of goods. I sent the following via email to Toyglobe: To date, I have not received a response from Toyglobe concerning the email below. As such, this order is to be cancelled in it's entirety. I have contacted my bank and they are reversing the charges on my charge card. Additionally, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Mike
