Subject: westlake financial.......customer very tired of them I have been a customer with westlake financial for three years. I have never been treated so badly by anyone else my whole life until I got my auto loan through them. In the past three years I have tangled with them on the phone. It started when I was late on a payment by three days. I had sent the check for the payment and it had not arrived yet. They told me to send them a moneygram and that they would send the check back to me. Little did I know that after I jumped through hoops to get them their money they charged me a 25.00 fee for disposing the check, and later that day the repo service showed up to take my vehicle. This is only one of the incidents that they put me through. They have disclosed information to my family and friends about my auto loan (which is illegal, and not to mention embarrasing.)
They have told me when I was late again on a payment and I quote "What is more important your vehicle or a roof over your head?" I have been hung up on and lied to time and time again, and I am just tired of it.
My loan is almost paid off (thank god) and if I ever get another vehicle and they want to finance me through westlake financial I would laugh in their face. I am telling you with first hand experience to think twice about a loan through them and other people like me should let everyone know how horrible they are. I have nothing to do with the loan and they call my cell and office to try and get her to pay for the car, she has told them to come get the car and they tell her no, then they call back and tell her that she is breaking the law by driving the car, she was only 5 days late on her payment when this started a month ago. This company hires unprofessional, uneducated morons to work the call center and collections department. My lawyer is all but to happy to file a harassement suit against these degenerates! I was told to make a payment and if I didn't have the money to go ask my neighbors for it, I told the guy on the phone I wish I knew where he was so I could ask his neighbors and he told me he lived in too high class of a area for me to go to. They are heartless because they know we are people with not alot of money and of course they make us feel worse with the way they treat you. I just looked at my bill and I have all kind of late charges and NSF charges I haven't ever seen on my statements. I know they will be calling to threaten me with repo and I don't have the extra money to come up with to bring those unknown charges current. I already asked for proof of them but I know I won't get it from them. If anyone even considers getting a loan with these crooks I would walk or talk public transporation before getting a contract with West Financial ever. And like so many of the stories on this website it got worse as I owe them less money. I only have five more payments to make to them and now they call everyday even on Saturday and Sunday. I have always paid in good faith and if Im going to be late but with in the grace period, I advise them. But they seem content to send me to their crude collections dept. My recent of many discusting situations with them was I was in my 10 day grace, but they wanted money RIGHT NOW. My direct deposit goes in at midnight. I offered to post a check buy phone,but they useless customer service didn't want to handle my call and routed me to collections without saying another word. Collections don't know what they're talking about. They've given me so much misinformation each time I called and give me fake names when I ask for a supervisor. Even the supervisors give me fake names. I was transfered to a supposed suprv "Julius" who was not even speaking coherently. I called him out on every one of his weak threats that didn't make sense. I told him I will call back when they're ready to listen. I called and got the same voice, but now named "James" who picked up his attitude right where he left off. He said he's not going to take a piece of paper from me I have to pay right now or since the repo is on his way and he's not going to argue with me. I said I'm not arguing and its not paper, its getting posted...but he hung up. I called again and got "Rocke" a supposed supv. who can't speak english enough to sound like a professional, but knows enough to insult and say the repo man is on his way. I said I want to speak to a real supervisor and he said no. He slammed the phone and left me on hold for 15 mins. He kept checking to see if I was still there. Each time I said I'm not hanging up until I get another suprv. He finally hung up after mumbling some comment. FYI the repo man never came and I waited for him to dare him to take my car. I have written so many compaints to their corp ofc about their ignorance is beyond abusive but no suprise I got no response. They have no ethics because they're miserable left over debt chasers. Dont let them intimidate you. You have rights and they can't touch you. This is the worst company that I have ever done business with. I am so glad that my loan is almost paid off. DO NOT FINANCE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I have never felt so belittled in my life. The CSR's are rude, nasty, unprofessional. The CSR's also disclosed my personal confidential info not once or twice but six times to my co-workers even after I asked them not to call my job and gave them an alternate phone number. There are so many things that are so wrong about this company. Please beware. Just because you have credit challenges does not give someone the right to put you down. They tell anyone they talk to all about us not making payments and they are in the area ready to come get the car. We make payments every month and for more than the payment actually is. They have stolen payments out of our accounts without authorization and have even been IN our home!!! They have threatened my children and asked them questions that NO child should have to hear! They are rude, unintelligent, unlawful and horrible people. On one occasion, the person on the phone was threatening me with "we are in the neighborhood, what is the address". You now they have the address, I told her to come and get it, they never do. I have filed complaints with anyone and everyone I can think of and will not stop. How would they like to have their family, friends and coworkers threatened on a daily basis!!! I was 1 day late on my payment and they called asking where the car was they wanted to come get it. I told them I called to get the Money Gram Code and was hung up on the day the payment was due. They talked very rude to me and I refuse to speak with them. They will get their payments when I make them and they will like it. I hate the people at Westlake they are all jerks! I have no problem with the company. Perhaps that is because I have it set up to autopay my loan payment each month and I actually have money in my account. I, too, have bad credit. The difference from what I see is that I am truly working to improve my credit. All of the bad things which happened to everyone is a result of late or missing payments. You can't blame a company for your mistakes, nor can you blame them for attempting to recover money owed them. Shame on all of you! Their customer service sucks and we have to tell them our info every time..we are on hold forever and are transferred at least 3 times. I will NEVER have another loan through them. I had to beg them to come and get the car, so did my attorney. I was never late for the entire time I had it, and for 4 months after my discharge, they continued to bill me, add late charges, and reported me 4 months delinquent for a car I no longer had. (LEGALLY) It was never late and was relinquished when I discharged. They refuse to change it on my credit report, and I am ready to contact my State Attorney Generals office to report them. I have been harassed and abused while speaking to agents on the phone. Agent (Atilio?) violated FDCPA laws by disclosing that there was a debt owed to them by me for the vehicle. (3rd Party Disclosure) Westlake also has hired Daniel's Repossessions who has skip traced all known relatives and also violated FDCPA laws (3rd Party Disclosure). I have been asked to surrender the car due to late payments and when I contacted the repossession company (Daniel's) to give them the address where the car is located, they (Daniel's) proceeded to make a 3 way call to your agent (Atilio?) who at that time proceeded to belittle and harass me. In fact, he would not let me give him the address where the car can be picked up. He wanted nothing but money, money I do not have. I have filed several complaints, one being the Department of Corporations, California�s Investment and Financing Authority along with the California Attorney General. Beware, you have been warned!
