McDonald's, Route 42, Plain City, Ohio - daughter ordered a MacFlurry and when she received it, it was not filled to the top and it didn't resemble the MacFlurries that she had received in other MacDonald restaurants

MacDonald's in Plain City, Ohio, Route 42: On Sunday June 13, 2004 my family and I stopped for an early dinner (around 5 pm) on our way home to Oxford, OH from visiting family near Columbus. My daughter ordered a MacFlurry and when she received it, it was not filled to the top and it didn't resemble the MacFlurries that she had received in other MacDonald restaurants.

I asked the server about it and and replied in a very sarcastic voice 'What's wrong with it?'. I just said that it didn't look like others that we received and wondered whether there had been a mistake with the order. She took it, dramatically threw it into the trash (in full view of other customers and her co-workers), made another one and shoved it in front of us.

My daughter was getting upset by the scene and said that it was ok and we took it and left. As I glanced back, I found her to be shrugging and holding her hands up in the air as if we were crazy. I found the woman's behavior to be rude, offensive and embarrassing. What happened to the saying 'The customer is always right?'. At the very least, we should be treated with respect. I will not visit another MacDonald's again - there are far too many other fast food restaurants for dining when on the road.
