Dell Computer Corporation.

Subject: Dell Computer Corporation.

Please help. I don't know what else to do.

I purchased a Dell Computer in October 2003. Since then it has been a living nightmare.

When they make the sale--they promise you the world. After, that the mistreatment of technical support and who ever you should manage to speak to is astonishing. They are rude to their customers, they refuse to answer any questions, and if you should be lucky enough to talk to someone you are transferred all over until you are finally hung up on or disconnected.

In January 2004, my hard drive crashed. I took out a 4-year warranty which no one in that company can tell what it covers. They did replace that. A used one and not a good one. Why would they send me a used one? This computer was purchased 3 months prior. In fact, the hell I went through to explain that my hard drive was making a weird banging noise. They tried to tell me it was me. I am a computer processor and know a lot about computers. After pleading with them for something that I am paying for they finally replaced it after 2 weeks. When it was delivered, I was told to call a tech and I would be guided throught the operating system. They sent me a hard drive with nothing on it. I call Dell only to be on hold for over 45 minutes. Finally, I got a tech and he was rude, in a rush and disconnected me. From January to May, I have been through a living hell.

I finance this computer and have been paying. No one was willing to help me when I did get someone. I also got a tech stationed in India. What's that about? She was reading from a manual, did not speak English, did not understand me and I could not understand her. I have no idea, but after all these months I got my system going by myself with no help from them which I think is a disgrace. It is still not working properly. I was told they cannot trouble shoot. I have never in my life heard of such a thing. What is technical support there for. I really think their whole support team is nonexistent. They are only there when you make a sale. So does that mean I am stuck with this purchase that is garbage?

My mouse just went. I called them again for a replacement. It's supposed to be covered under the warranty. I ordered it four weeks ago. I still not have received it. They added all kinds of charges on my bill for purchases I did not make such as a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse--but not the replacement mouse I asked for. This is dusgusting. I called them -- waited for over a half hour to talk to someone and I was told to clean out the damaged mouse and that is all he could do. I asked him what my warranty covers and he never answered me. My cell phone bills are so high trying to get these people. I have a dial up connection and that is the only way I could call them. It has been a total waste. I would never and I stress never order anything from Dell again. They are liars, manipulating, incompetent and horrible people. Dell is a fraud company.

In the meantime, I want a refund on what I have paid. I cannot even get through to Financial Services. I am transferred all over the place and then disconnected.

I tell you this is not fair. From what I know there are a lot of complaints against Dell and they seem to be getting away with it. I need my computer. I am freelancing at home since I lost my job a few months ago to top it off. They owe me something for all my aggravation and other customers also.

I also wrote to Consumer Affairs for help. I am at my wits end.

Please help. I thank you in advance.
