Extremely rude behavior by Best Buy employee

The problem is that I was accosted by a couple of employees of the best buy store on LBJ/midway rd. I was making an exchange of an item and minding my own business. I was starting to get impatient because there were employees everywhere and no one was willing to help me. They kept saying "someone will be with you". I waited.

 

They all seemed to be either strolling about the store or on the telephone not willing to get off. Finally, a Hispanic kid talks to me and he lets me exchange the item,but I still have to go back to

the counter and do the physical exchange. I'm waiting there for a while when two guys walk behind me and one says "fat asshole"! And for absolutely no reason except to be nasty. It was obvious by the tone, loudness and the fact that no one else but they and I were around that they were talking about me.

 

So I said "screw you"! in a lower than his voice. To which he replied as he was still walking "didn't hear you, ha ha". He turned and walked into the area where they do returns. His area was elevated and partitioned.Then someone who was working in the computer upgrade area came out talking about how the other guy called me a fat asshole I found out later from another employee, who was actually willing to work , that the guy's name was "Chris Webber", or at least that's what was given. The employee told me that he was one of the managers there but not the manager.

 

He was wearing a regular shirt and not a uniform.

 

The time of the incident was 3:00 pm 7/21/2004 store # 256 employee manager Chris Webber (name that was given)

 

This employee needs to be fired for accosting a customer like that. Management needs to know what

he's doing.

I completely agree that this store has extremely rude employees. I too was asked to bring in an electronic for check up. when i got there, no one was willing to help me. i finally left with my item after waiting thirty minutes. i put it back in the car. lucky for them I do not have a bad temper and am patient with people. I came in and asked for assistance without my equipment, asked to speak with a particular employye who told me to bring my electronic in. after speaking with him, all he could say was there was no need of brining it since they do not deal with such an electronic. that is after asking multiple times if he can look at it and saying it is best to bring it. Well he was not my problem though. the employees not will to even ask what is wrong. the other behaviour is that whenever i call for customer service, i am transffered ovewr and over with not help and includiong multiple hung ups while waiting. this is bad for business especially for someone like me who keeps up with technology.
