Tidewater Workshop - I ordered a bench and an accessory from Tidewater on 03/22/04 (order numbers 46666 and 46657). I was told they were working on a six week backlog. They processed the charge to my credit card on 03/22/04 - After six weeks had passed, I called and was told it would be a couple of more weeks. After twelve weeks, on 06/15/04, I called Tidewater and canceled my order. They said they would credit my credit card

1-800-666-TIDE (8433) I ordered a bench and an accessory from Tidewater on 03/22/04 (order numbers 46666 and 46657). I was told they were working on a six week backlog. They processed the charge to my credit card on 03/22/04. After six weeks had passed, I called and was told it would be a couple of more weeks. After twelve weeks, on 06/15/04, I called Tidewater and canceled my order. They said they would credit my credit card. On 07/09/04, I called Tidewater to see where my credit was. Megan, the customer service rep, indeed said the order had been cancelled and I should have received a credit to my account. She said she would follow up with accounting. On 07/16/04, a month after I cancelled the order, still no reversal of charges on my credit card. I called Tidewater again. This time Cathy said the person that handles that is not in and that she would call back when she got an answer. I never heard back. On 07/21/04, I called and talked to Megan again. She talked to accounting and they indicated that it should have been processed, but they’ve been very busy. The next credit run would be on Monday 07/26/04 and it would be processed then. On 07/28/04, I called Megan again. She looked up my record and indeed the credit had been posted to my account, but I still have no credit on my credit card. I'm skeptical that I'm going to be getting a credit at all. This company obviously has some sort of production problem and a poorly run business office or a cash flow problem.
