The service department is chaotic, disorganized and it is difficult to find someone to talk to when you come in. This happened to me repeatedly even though I always made appointments for service well in advance.
I found that people who drove in without appointments were often taken ahead of me. When I complained, I was accused of rudeness and Murphy the manager of the Service Department refused to service the car. When I asked him who was in charge of the dealership he told me there was no one higher than he was, although a check in the sales office revealed that this was not true.
I have found an independent service that services Swedish cars much closer to my home. There is no wait. All the technicians are Swedish and Swedish trained. There is no wait, no chaos, no confusion and they are polite and responsive.
I only wish Mr. Murhphy had "thrown me out", sooner. The only question remaining is whether to ever purchase another VOLVO. I think based on the service and the poor rear view visibility I would not. But at least my service problems are solved.
