I purchased this dryer new from Sears thinking I was going to have years of service from it. After the warranty expired, the machine started to beep often. I thought it just needed to be reset or something. Then I found it turning itself on at all hours of the day.

I would have to unplug it to leave my house. It is such a fire hazard! I called Sears for a serviceman and without opening my unit up he said it was the touch pad that was shorting out and it was $400 to replace it. I have found one other person with a similar problem which mean there must be more of us having this issue. Please e-mail me if you have similar problems with is product.
