First they sent me an email notifying me that I needed to fax a copy of my drivers license as well as confirm my listed phone number. I did both and then got an email from them stating that they were unable to lift the restriction on my account due to my account being linked to another paypal account by one or more pieces of data

Paypal - Froze my account

Paypal restricted my account to limited access today-7/28/04. First they sent me an email notifying me that I needed to fax a copy of my drivers license as well as confirm my listed phone number. I did both and then got an email from them stating that they were unable to lift the restriction on my account due to my account being linked to another paypal account by one or more pieces of data. I called and found out that my home address linked my account to my husbands old account of which received a chargeback and was negative $500.00.

The interesting part of the story is that on 3/18/04 a U.S. Bankruptcy judge granted us a discharge of debt(chapter 7) and my husbands account was listed and granted under this discharge. Following our 351 hearing (which paypal did not attend), our attorney sent a couple of certified letters instructing Paypal in Omaha to cease in their collection attempts.

They were notified and aware of the bankruptcy for our attorney verified that a copy of the schedule and discharge went to each and every debtor. Now they have frozen my account which contains $417.99 due to an account that the Bankruptcy court said no longer is owed. We were instructed by Waylon with Paypal customer service (yeah right...) to fax a copy of the discharge to 402-537-5731 to have the restricted access lifted. Has anyone encountered this before?

It is my understanding that once a debt is discharged, no further collection activity can insue, am I correct? If that is the case, How much of eBay will I own if this is taken to court?

Paypal froze my account three times. I have provided all necessary information each time. Currently Paypal is asking for sales invoice, passport or driver's license, my supplier's contact information...all which were not in the original agreement I wished to sign up for. I believe they have abused all privacy and business rights. I have a lot of money locked up in my paypal account and cannot lift the limitation they placed on my account. How can I sue Paypal?
