Dear Complaints Dot Com: Here is a complaint regarding an experience I'm having with a California-based web hosting company. The BBB has been notified. See below: "HAS THIS HAPPENED TO YOU? BY AN INTERNET WEB HOST?" You sign up for web hosting services with what seems a decent company at first and down the road, you decide to cancel services after a year but then discover,to your dismay, that you can't cancel because the company only provides one method of cancellation, which no one really qualifies for because the company's online cancellation system hasn't been fully tested. It(cancellation system) doesn't work! Meanwhile, the meter is running running running. So, you call their support center somewhere in Romania or India and get folks that don't speak English too well. Bottom line is, you get nowhere -- but the meter keeps running running running. I have made many reasonable attempts to contact the company, provide verification and account numbers, but to date, I'm getting the supreme runaround. Meanwhile, the meter is running running running. The company is billing me well into the future for services I'm trying to cancel. I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB in San Diego. It is important that we shed some light to this matter so others won't get burnt by unfair, unethical business practices. Companies would make more money if they learn to treat people with respect, honesty, and integrity. I learned this from my good parents at an early age. Best,
