I had bought a car from Planet Hyundai on west Sahara ave. in Las Vegas Nevada.
I was told that the car was mine and that i had no problem getting the loan. I had tinted the windows and installed a cd player in the vechicle. About a month later they call me and tell me that they are having problems with loan and that I need a co-signer. I did not have a co-signer so i went back to the dealership with the intetions of getting my old car that i traded in back.
The manager told me that they sold the car already. He told me that he would give me a check for the trade in that was worth 1,000 dollars. I have it in writing. I never recieved a check. I am sickened by how they treat their customers and am going to put a stop to this. I then told them that i am not leaving with out a check or a car and they told me that if i took the car then they wouold call the police and report it stolen. While i was at the police station i had met with others who went through this.
Even a sales associate at the dealership said that this always happens and there is not a damn thing i can do about it. There is something I can do and I am going to do it. They do not have the right to steal from innocent victims.
I left the dealership with nothing. I had no way of getting to work, nothing. my cd player and tinted windows came out of my pocket, a 400 dollar value that i lost. This dealership doesnt deserve anyones buiesness, please look into dealerships before being taken advantage of. THank you for your time. They made a deal with the dealership. They took possession of the vehicle on March 1, 2008. They went back to the dealer ship on Monday 3, 2008 because they notice that the dealership had added an extra $2000 onto the final paperwork of the deal. They were curious as to what this was for and they were informed not to worry about this because the deal had not gone thru the financing feel out. The sales manager Frank Medera stated that since this deal fell thru they would put them in a smaller less expensive vehicle to get them financed. This vehicle Frank was trying to put them in is all Manual with NO A.C. My friend and her mother did not want to this deal because there is NO A.C, it is a 2-door vehicle, and my friend has 2 small children. She wants her trade back. Frank is refusing to return the trade. Frank has stated that he cannot unwind this deal or release the trade until the General Manager authorizes it. Frank stated that the general manager would be in on Tuesday morning (March 4,2008) to take care of this. At this point my friend returned both keys to Frank for the vehicle she was unable to be financed for. She had to leave the vehicle she did not receive finance for as well as her trade at the dealership since Frank was uncooperative in returning her trade. She had left the vehicle in the possession of the dealership on Monday March 3, 2008 along with both sets of keys to this vehicle. Tuesday March 4, 2008 today her brother went to dealership offering to finance the vehicle for her under the same original terms and Frank informed him that they did not have the new vehicle that she originally tried to purchase. Her brother told Frank that they left the vehicle on the lot with both keys having been returned to him. Frank states that if the vehicle is not here and they don¢??t have it then it must have been stolen? Now lets think about this??? If both keys have been returned to Frank and the mom and the sister do not have the vehicle because they are NOT financed for this vehicle, they have not received there trade back, and the dealership is not willing to file a police report on a vehicle they still own, who is responsible for this vehicle??? THE DEALERSHIP. This is NOT a place that is conducting business with the best interest of the consumer in mind. Lets face the facts here if you do NOT receive financing on a vehicle no matter how many days have passed it is the LAW to return the original trade or any monies that have been put forth back to the customer. This deal becomes null and void. I would urge any human being reading this letter to pass this on to as many people as you know. We as consumers NEED to stick together. This is the kind of Business Practice that is UNACCEPTABL to honest hard working AMERICANS that are trying there best to get ahead and in honest intentions of making an good deal have once again been screwed with in an unacceptable manner. I will continue to update all on this situation as it unfolds as to whether or not the dealership is going to honor the ORIGINALL contract (on a car they say they no longer have) or return to her trade. It has been 2 days and my friend is still asking for rides from friends & family members since "planet hyundai las vegas" still playing games. FRANK MEDERAS shame on you..!
