GM Pontaic vehicle - gaskets wore out at 60,000 miles
From: Deb and Mike Jacquart [COMPLAINTS.COM_FORM_MAIL_65514#]
pontiac gaskets
I have in front me a complaints.com message from a Lee Leggett regarding an intake manifold gasket problem on Pontiac Tran Sport and Montana vans. He expressed his displeasure due to the LARGE number of GM owners who have had the same problem and that he was putting together a petition to send to GM.
I would have to concur. We ran into the same problem on our vehicle. Gaskets should not wear out at 60,000 miles. I've typically had gaskets last almost the life of the vehicle -- 100,000 miles or more. At the very least, GM should recall these parts to offset the hefty cost incurred by loyal owners of their vehicles.
Sincerely,
Mike and Deb Jacquart
