Celebrity Prime Foods
When someone is invited to my home to present their products and/or services, it is expected that they will provide reasonable value for said products and/or services. When customers believe themselves to be taken advantage of, I believe that it is their responsibility to advise the company of their complaint and give said company reasonable ability to resolve said complaint. When such complaint(s) have not been resolved satisfactorily, such Customers have little option other than to voice their dissatisfaction to the general public, while being careful not to defame said company. My complaints about this company are numerous. I will try to outline my experience here. I saw a booth at the Puyallup, WA, county fair and tried the food. It tasted good, so I agreed that a salesperson could visit my home. He arrived 2 hours late, and a previously arranged party had already begun. I had drank approximately 4 12oz beers. I left my guests for about 1/2 hour to devote my attention to the salesperson. In my haste to get this over with and return to my guests, I did what NO PERSON IN THEIR RIGHT MIND should do ... I signed the sales agreement without reading it in detail.
BIG MISTAKE, as I have recently found out. Within a few days of the party, after the 3 day right to cancel had expired, I received a call from Celebrity asking if all was OK. I responded that it was, and asked when my food would arrive. You should understand that by answering OK without seeing any food yet was a mistake. My belief is that this how they operate ... they get you to agree that everything is OK before you can know otherwise. My suggestion to anyone that does business with Celebrity Prime Foods is that you do NOT agree that things are OK until you have received your food and are satisfied with the QUANTITY and QUALITY of the food. When the food finally arrived, I signed off the sheet for receipt of the food not yet understanding the cost vs quantity issue.
The delivery guy left a sheet that supposedly shows the cost per item. When I read that document I was in shock! The costs for this surely couldn't be this much, so I called Celebrity to verify. I was told that they could not tell me their prices nor do they have such a price list. I told the person that I was looking at such a sheet that was provided by the delivery person! This was just the beginning of what I believe to be planned deception on the part of Celebrity Prime Foods. In fact, I was told that it was all MY problem ... I had agreed to the purchase. It didn't matter what the cost or quantity was!
I was understandably upset and demanded to talk to a supervisor. I then began keeping notes of my dealings with Celebrity Prime Foods, so more details are available if you need them. I have tried to resolve this with the company, the last attempt was declined by me, as it would have required that I could not complain further to anyone, and I would have had to say that I was "completely satisfied" even though I still believed I was being ripped off for several hundred dollars. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. In fact, I am trying to reach as many "dissatisfied customers" as possible so that together we can initiate a lawsuit against this company. Brad A
