Express Cameras for digital camera

 

I found a price for a digital camera on their website Expresscameras.com. They advertise "#1 rated Customer Service" and "5 Star Service" (don't believe it!!!). Everything seemed to look okay, so I called to place my order.

 

"Jeff" - The first person I talked to lied and said that the camera was out of stock. Then he proceeded to try to get me to order a higher priced package. I declined and hung up. I suspected he had lied about it being out of stock, so I called to ask another salesperson.

 

"Alex" - The second salesperson - admitted that the camera was in stock, but wouldn't ship for 10 days. I thought I would try my call again.

 

"Greg" - The third salesperson I spoke with - again said that the camera was in stock and would ship in 24 to 28 hours. I proceeded to order it, when he told me that unless I paid extra, I wouldn't get the English manual or a full US warranty!!! Their website clearly states that a FULL US WARRANTY is included with every purchase! I now decided to call management.

 

"Jonathan Green" - the FOURTH salesperson now answers and tells me he is a manager (it was confirmed through my NEXT phone call that he was not). He said that the camera was in stock, and would ship in 24 hours and would have a full US warranty. I again proceeded to order, and he upped the shipping costs from $12.40 to $45.00 but wouldn't tell me why!!! I had a print out in my hand from their website showing GRAND TOTAL for shipping as $12.40.

 

"Steve" - the FIFTH person I called was supposedly a manager that answered my call after a 25 minute wait. I calmly asked WHO rates them #1 in Customer Service, and WHO gives them the "5 Star rating"??? He didn't know. Gee...go figure. He then transferred me back to "Sales" while I was in the middle of asking him a question.

 

"No Name" - then told me everything I had been previously told was correct????? Believe it or not, I was still relatively calm. When I again asked WHO they are rated #1 and 5 Stars through (obviously so I could give them my feedback as to their pathetic customer service), he told me he was trying to remain calm with me! Well, after wasting an hour and a half on this (and telling him so) his response was "No one asked you waste an hour of your time!) Let's just say at that point .....I...LOST...IT....

 

DO NOT BUY from this company! It is by far the worst experience I have ever had in trying to make a simple purchase. They were rude, liars, unprofessional and downright unscrupulous!!!!!!

 

I purchased the camera through Butterflyphoto.com and they were polite and professional. No hassle.
