Dell Computer Nightmare Technical Support
Dear Complaints: I have a Dell laptop purchased on a 3 year lease. It is 1.5 years old. For the past 4 months the computer has been crashing intermittently and I have contacted customer support numerous times attempting to fix this. I have even wiped the hard drive and reinstalled the operating system. Of course, this problem has entailed over 100 hours on the phone with technical serive, customer care, and on hold with Dell.
I was promised most recently on Thursday that if I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled and the equipment didn't work, that I would be able to exchange this lemon for a new machine on my lease. This AM when I telephoned, I was asked to again wipe the hard drive. This is not technical support, this is technical run around. Oh, and of course, a supervisor is NEVER available but in meetings or not there. Don't believe the Dell PR anymore --they are as bad as other technical service. Very best, Ginger Breggin
