RE: mci long distance phone company - phone company cancelled service, but continue to receive bills I am continually receiving billing from this company. I have contacted them several times. I talked to a person to explain the problem they informed me that I could not cancel my long distance carrier, that my phone company had to cancel it. I informed them that my phone company had canceled this service. I contacted my local service and informed them of what was happening and they told me that as of 1/28/04 they had send the required information to MCI canceling my service. I just called the number that tells you who is the long distance carrier and it is MCI it is suppose to be Bell South Since this phone conversation with MCI I not only received another bill, but they billed me for that month. I want this stopped and a refund of bills paid since January,. This is theft in my opinion and they should be stopped ASAP.
Please contact me on what further I can do. I have a total of 52.30 in long distance charges and no end in site. I was told that MCI indeed does show that I canceled my service with me so why cant they stop charging me.
