Consumer Complaint (to be posted)

 

I wish to inform people of “Auto Connection Plus” at 4915 Auburn St, Rockford Illinois (815)963-2884. I have had the WORST experience ever with “Auto Connection Plus” and their VERY poor customer service! I took my car in for a new oil pan to be replaced … Charlie the owner, said I would more than likely need a new engine (for an oil leak) … He only agreed that I only needed an oil pan after I explained that I already talked to another mechanic and how the car already has a newly rebuilt engine … Well, then he said he could get me in the next Tuesday, so I waited and then dropped it off the following Tuesday… He didn’t start work on it until one and a half weeks later, and he left my car out side every day. … My car is a Lincoln and it has air shocks and when your tow or work on a car with air shocks you turn it off. Well, they never turned it back on and I drove my car over 100 miles with out the shocks being turned back on … Well, when I turned the shocks on after figuring this out the air bags were shot! So, I went back to “Auto Connection Plus” and Charlie started to yell at me saying there is no way it could be his fault, before I even said a word to him. So, I started to yell at him asking him why they never turned on my ride control … And yes if HE (not myself) didn’t turn it back on AFTER he turned it off he would be responsible for it … He had his mechanic call a local Lincoln dealer and the dealer basically said it was a very good chance it was his fault … Well, they so graciously agreed to fix it at my $$$ expense and when my father picked up the car for me they told him I was no longer welcome there. Talk about GREAT customer service! Previously I gave this guy thousands of dollars for auto repair work … Several time I have to come back with different but similar problems a week or so later always at MY expense. I even remember when I was much younger I had them work on a bad muffler of mine and they told me it was $165 over the phone, but when I got there and they noticed my now deceased grandmother was paying, the bill was $185 … Charlie knew my grandmother had money and exploited the situation. I must be a sucker for going back to this loser because he claims to be a friend of the family … I would rather have an enemy! I hope people of Rockford, Illinois will be able to see this posting!
