Unitrin Direct - unable to get renewal auto insurance policy

My policy last year 2003 was $1,200.00, all of the sudden I do not receive my renewal policy and we are talking days after my policy ends to be exact March 1st 2004, they claimed UNITRIN DIRECT that one of the vin's of my automobile had a problem and that is why they could not renew my policy.

Once I called inmediately the lady who was in charge at that moment of my complaint said that they had a problem with the computer and that is why they could not process my policy.

TREMENDOUS LIE. I received a letter from Unitrin Direct stating that the reason they did not provide a policy was because of the VIN number on one of my automobiles coverage. I send a letter telling them I will not renew my policy with such a phony insurance company and they flat outright told me thank you Mr. Porrello as for your desire we are cancelling your policy.

I did not want to cancell this policy, they made me cancel. This is a rip off, form $1,200 to 1,700 without an explanation just that Florida insurance has raised greatly in the last year.

Bottom line, do not insure your autos with UNITRIN DIRECT, in my opinion.
