I've had the Norton Antivirus for a couple of years. For the entire time I've had it, many e-mail attachments have been removed although they came from individuals and were self-created and totally nonthreatening. I recently upgraded to Windows XP and reinstalled the Norton as directed.

Now all the attachments are blocked and I"ve progressed from frustrated to angry and unable to complete my work. I have spent many hours trying to get help from Norton...nothing works.

The on-line help isn't helpful. The web site says that since it's a 2002 version, no phone or other assistance is available. However, they took my money for a new subscription and supposedly do the live updates. That's really fascinating! The phone and fax numbers don't work.

There's no e-mail address that gets you a person. I'm going to get a different virus protection but after reading the complaints about rebates, I'm not optimistic about getting my money back from the subscription. If you have any suggestions, I'd like to hear them.
