AOL Auto Advantage - signed up for AOL Traveler Advantage - also charged for AOL Auto Advantage

Aol Auto Advantage / Aol

My name is Roxanne Nr. I was recently charged for a service that I cancelled back in November. Aol Traveler Advantage called my husband, he signed up for the trial plan, 3 months for $1. I guess when he signed up for the Traveler Advantage, Aol Auto Advantage was included. I never received information on any of this.

I did once I called in November, on Traveler Advantage, not Auto Advantage, and the person I spoke to assured me that come December 17, 2003 my account through Travelers Advantage would be closed.

I was satisfied with the conversation. Until, January 31, 2004, I received notice from Citizens Bank, that I bounced a Credit card purchase. This was the direct result of AOL Auto Advantage, withdrawing $89.99 out of my checking account. This was unauthorized. I received a charge of $35 from the bank. I feel that Aol is at fault and I should be completely reimbursed without question.

Upon calling Aol Auto Advantage, the woman I spoke with told me that Aol Auto Advantage and Traveler Advantage are two separate companies. My husband was only called by Traveler Advantage, and if in fact, Auto Advantage was included, but a separate company, I am not sure how it all went together. If you have any questions please email me back.

My husband and I are very upset about this whole situation and would like to have this resolved as soon as possible. Sincere thanks, Mrs. Roxanne C. N
