Complaint about an Internet Service Provider

 

Complaint:

 

On June 22, 2003 I signed up for internet service with Naturecoast.net 2973 E. Gulf to Lake Hwy. Inverness, FL United States 34453 (352)860-1991 www.naturecoast.net.

 

I paid $16.95 ( which is the charge for monthly service, subsequently they lowered the amount to $14.95 for all customers ).

 

Two weeks later I checked my credit card statement online, and discovered they had charged me an additional $16.95. I called their office, and a man told me that I was paying for a month in advance ( like a landlord charges first & last month's rent ), and that I should contact them a month in advance of my wanting the service discontinued, and they would not charge me for that last month.

 

I even confirmed this with owner of the service by e-mail. On February 5,2004 I called their office to cancel, and was told they would not charge my credit card, and they would turn off my service on March 1, 2004. On 2-7-04 I checked my credit card financial transactions, and they had charged me anyway. I made every effort to contact them, and I was not getting anywhere.

 

I finally received an impolite e-mail today 2-10-04 from Rich H. telling me they would refund my money tomorrow on 2-11-04, and he asked that I stopped spamming him. My internet service was also cancelled, so I am unable to retrieve e-mail from family & friends. They misrepresented themselves to me, I am out of $16.95 and an additional $14.95, plus losing important e-mail.

 

I simply want a refund of both amounts in total of: $31.90. I can provide full documentation of ALL financial transactions, and the e-mail I sent to them, and their replies. Thankyou.

Desired Settlement: Refund Settlement

 

Explanation: I want a refund of: $31.90. I would like my lost e-mail, but I don't expect that. I would like an apology because his accusation my spamming him. he said I should have sent my complaints to Email User , which I did, repeatedly. They never replied.
