Direct TV

When I ordered direct TV and I had to choose my plan on October 30 this year, the girl spoke about buying the the NFL ticket for $ 62.00 and I would have 4 months free of TV programming. The other offers were $39.99 and $ 42.99. Of course, I choose the NFL offer because I only needed to pay 62.25 + $4.99 for an extra TV and the next 4 months are free.

It turns out that the catch is that I have to pay $ 67.24 for the next three months also. What is free is really a discount from $90.99 to $67.24. But when they offer it to you, they say you're getting 4 months free and you believe and get it, but it's just a catch for you to buy the most expensive plan.

When I called today and asked why I was getting another charge for $67.24, they said that's the plan I had choosen. I explained that I had understood that I would pay only $67.24 and the following months would be free. They said I had already paid the first payment and it was very clear that it was the first payment of 4. The truth is I was so happy that I had only to pay $67.24 that I didn't notice they had "4 pymts" written on the side. I asked to cancel this plan and go to the 39.99 plan. They said they cannot cancel the NFL plan during the game season. Why not?

I don't even watch those stupid games. I only ordered because I was going to have four months free. I asked the supervisor I was talking to that I was unemployed and I didn't have $67.24 to give to them. He told me I should have been more responsible and have planned accordingly. How would I know that I would be unemployed today? And to my understanding, having to pay only $67.24 in November and getting 4 months free was a perfect plan.

I believe the way they persent their special is very misleading. And their representatives should make it clear when you respond saying "so I pay only $67.24 and I get $ 4 months free?" The girl with whom I spoke didn't tell me anything. She should have said "no lady you'll pay 67.24 for the next four months instead of $90.99" She even told me that in February I could change to another plan if I didn't want to pay $90.99.

They say I'll have to pay anyway. Where am I going to get $67.24? I would already be in trouble having to pay $39.99

What can you do to help me?

Thanks,
