Hello all, The big shortcoming of the Web is that when there is a problem you don't know what authority to complain to. Unfortunately there are not enough customer review websites either to warn other potential customers. Hopefully complaints.com will serve this purpose. I recently went on ultimatemoviedownload.com and looked around the website. Everything looked "legitimate" i.e. website well constructed, links and phone numbers for tech support and customer support, proclaimed it was secure and legal, and LOOKED secure. However what should have made me suspicious was the fact that they did not allow you to see what movie lists they had and what they were offering. It was all empty promises and you had to register first, by providing details of your debit/credit card. So after a lot of thought I deemed the website to be a respectable one, and registered. Have you ever noticed that some websites when you register to something automatically have boxes to other stuff e.g. subscription to XYZ magazine, mail etc CHECKED ALREADY. So if you are not looking hard at your screen you WILL miss it. That is what happened. The website had a box checked for purchase of some additional software which they say is up to you to purchase. Then if that is the case, WHY ALREADY CHECK THE BOX? That means they are already "assuming" that I will opt for it. And for all those who are not careful will find themselves with lighter pockets! Worse, it is NOT refundable even if you have NOT downloaded it!

That is what happened to me. I did not realize the box was checked until I had submitted the form and tried to stop the submission, but it went through and I got billed for the software even when I didn't even download it!!! And to show you how crafty they are: While they put in an already checked box that will profit them, they don't have an additional step whereby you can actually confirm your purchase of the software or your registration. They so do not want people to look over the form that they're eager to have the "Submit" button clicked without any chance of backing out! That is not all. After registration, they randomly assign some nonsense login and password, which upon using does not get you anywhere. And when you ask for the password to be sent to you, thinking that maybe you got the password wrong, they don't send it to you! I asked 10 times and awaited for the email on the web address I had specified during registration.. but nothing! Two days later, I call their number to ask for a refund, and nobody answers the number. I call several times, same thing! Conclusion: That website is a hoax and serves only to suck in your money. You will get nothing out of them. They on the other hand will the laughing all the way to the bank. - Isa M
