Customer Complaint - Faulty/Bad Installation Done by Home Depot.. .
I purchased a paver pool deck floor apx. two years ago from Home Depot and when installed by a contracted installer I questioned the fact that a drain was part of my old installation, but was not part of the new installation and I was really concerned.
The contractor reassured me that one would not be needed with this installation. I was not convinced and I filed a complaint with Home Depot, where I got very little assistance and out of complete frustration I gave up, hoping the problem would not manifest itself, which turns out not to be the case. Now two years latter and now one year out of warranty I continue to have a real problem with drainage, but more importantly the old drain that they cover up with the sand used in the new installation is now washing away through the old drain and the new pavers stones are starting to become very uneven and look very bad. Not to mention the safety hazard they are now creating. I believe that Home Depot should be responsible for what is tuning out to be a very bad installation even if it is one year out of warranty because of my complaints and early concern I had during and shortly after the original installation.
