Complaint about Extras On Call

To Whom It May Concern:

I have about a company that I would like to share with you. The company is Extras On Call. It is a division of Digital Exposure Inc. (The website is www.extrasoncall.com) The company is supposed to find you work as a moive extra for various movie, television, and advertising projects. It costs rougly $63 for the first month and $11 per month after that.

When I signed up with the company I was told that I would be guaranteed to be contacted for work within 90 days. After 90 days I was not contacted for work. I asked for a refund, but the company claimed that the emails they sent were considered contacts. In my book, a notice for a position is not the same as being contacted for work. I could have looked in the classified section of a newspaper or one of the Hollywood trade papers. I would like to warn my fellow consumers about Extras On Call.

Sincerely,

John

I've been with Extrasoncall since 2003, and the website is no longer coming up. I wanted to pull up my homepage but I can't. Any suggestions? Also, they've been billing me for the past 4 years and I can't even pull up my home page or the website?

I am upset as well with there progress and effort. I don't remember it costing me that much money, it has been awhile.

I was dissappointed with the filter for emails, the fact that I really couldn't delete emails, and their really wasn't any customer assistance.

It was setup like a online headhunter program. I don't mind contacting the people having the casting call; I believe that is my job to make arrangements and so forth once they see my profile and then send me a notice. However, I kept getting trash from three main companies that obviously were not looking at my profile. Sending me things specificly for: large black man, petite asian woman needed, 55 year old woman. These are just examples and may not specific, I did say its been awile. If your wondering I am white, a male, green eyes, skinny, and 5'10".

I have also been scammed by extras on call. When they informed me of their 90 day refund policy, I put 2 and 2 together when my bank said that they couldn't pull the records because they were 90 days old. I had to close my bank account and set up a new one. 3 years later, and I still can't get in contact with this company. If and when I do, I'm going to sue the hell out of them!
